I love autumn 🍁
I love the leaves changing colour and becoming all crackly and crunchy underfoot. I love the cosy nights in, where I’m wrapped in a toasty jumper and many blankets. I love the warm hot chocolates, the blackberry crumbles, the slowly darkening evenings.
We went to Lickey Hills Country Park today, for our first real autumnal walk of 2017. And it was wonderful.
It was all still relatively green, but with a hint of yellow and orange here and there – the clear sign the seasons are gradually changing. The air felt crisper, crisp enough for me to be wrapped in my blanket scarf and coat.
We took the Bluebell Trail, a mile and half long circular route through the trees and up the hills. As we left we decided next time we’d come more prepared and tackle the 11 mile Woodpecker Trail…
And to perfectly finish off a lovely, fresh, autumnal day, we’re off to have pie for dinner!
My first trip to The Pie Factory in Tipton! (I’m sure I’ll be blogging about all things pie tomorrow, just to warn you…)
See you on Sunday!
