Tonight is my main telly night. It’s the one I wait for every year – the launch of Strictly Come Dancing!
Call me sad (I can sort of take it) but Strictly signifies that summer is over, and autumn has begun.
I can officially stay inside more, wear big woolly jumpers, Google when the clocks go back and think about pumpkins, sparklers and even… maybe… mince pies.
A step too far?
Would I love Strictly as much if it was aired in April instead? I think I’d still love it, but it wouldn’t be the same. There’d be no Halloween special to start!
So, that’s it. Strictly is on in half an hour so I better refresh my drink and bag the best seat in the house.
A wild Saturday night indeed – but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
